SCHOOL OF HONOR
The Ohio Department of Education has named Butternut as a
HIGH PERFORMING SCHOOL OF HONOR, based on our 2011-2012 Local Report Card. To read the letter announcement from Dr. Richard Rose (Supt. of Public Education), click on
ODE Recognition Letter for School of Honor.
This program recognizes schools that have sustained high achievement and substantial progress while serving a significant number of economically disadvantaged students. A banner for this will be sent for display in the coming weeks.
SCHOOL OF PROMISE
For the
fifth year, Butternut Primary was again named one of an elite group of 163 Ohio schools to be recognized as the State Superintendent's
Schools of Promise for the 2011-2012 school year.
This honor is based on the achievement of our students in reading and mathematics; and Butternut met or exceeded the rigorous selection criteria.
These results demonstrate all students regardless of location, income, race or disability can learn.
An official Schools of Promise banner will be given for display to our school building.
