Ramadan Mubarak!
As the observation of Ramadan approaches for many of our families, we want to inform you of the procedures NOMS has in place to support students who observe Ramadan while maintaining adherence to school rules:
Fasting
Students who are required to fast during this time will have a separate seating area in our cafeteria during their respective lunch periods. The tables will have games for the students to play during their lunch time.
The students are encouraged to sit together and still follow and adhere to the rules in place during lunch time.
Music Classes
Students who require removal from music class for religious reasons must have a detailed, signed note from a parent/guardian. The note must include the student's name, grade level, and the specific reason for the request.
Students with a signed note on file in the office will be sent to the office during music class to work on an alternative assignment.
Students are not permitted to miss music class or choose not to attend without the required parent note and signature on file with the office.
