North Olmsted Juniors and Junior Parents!

As you close out junior year, it’s time to start planning ahead.

Scholarship Searching:
For those of you interested in beginning your scholarship search, here are some national scholarships  (need-based and merit-based) that have deadlines in the fall.  If these are something you are interested in, it would be a good idea to start applications over the summer when you have some extra time, as they can be extensive.

Coca-Cola Scholarshttps://www.coca-colascholarsfoundation.org/

You can also find many scholarships at these sites as well.  There is a scholarship search guide attached.Big Future https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/scholarship-searchScholarship America https://scholarshipamerica.org/

Test Prep and Career Exploration:
Many schools are returning to use test scores.  If you are planning to apply to The Ohio State University, you will need to send a test score.  If you are planning to apply to a highly selective school or a school in the south (Florida, Georgia, some others), you will need to supply a test score.  You should check each school’s website to see what they require.  Even if a school does not use a test score for admissions, they may use it to award scholarships.  I have attached flyers for some of the College Now test preparation programs this summer.  They are free and/or give you a stipend for participating!

Summer Programs through Colleges, College Now, and YOU:
These are a great way to help clarify your interests.  Many are low or no cost, or may offer scholarships.
